Pre-OP/PACU Manager Full Time Days

Overview Reporting to Nursing leadership, the Manager – Patient Services oversees one or more major nursing support functions, providing business, operational, and quality assurance support across designated units. The role collaborates with senior leadership to improve staffing, financial, and performance metrics within nursing operations. Responsibilities Plan, implement, and evaluate processes that enhance performance, staffing effectiveness, fiscal management, and customer service outcomes. Communicate and enforce regulatory requirements and standards; monitor compliance with applicable laws and internal policies. Collaborate with the healthcare team to plan and evaluate activities aligned with departmental, hospital, and DMC objectives. Develop, review, and revise departmental policies and procedures, securing necessary approvals. Initiate and recommend personnel actions including hiring, disciplinary actions, and performance appraisals. Develop and monitor budget for designated areas and support long‑range goal setting and attainment assessment. Model customer service excellence and serve as a role model for professional conduct. Qualifications BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing) required; Master’s degree preferred. If graduated with a Master’s, either a BSN or Master’s must be in Nursing. Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Michigan. Minimum three years of progressive nursing experience. Experience managing operational support functions within a nursing environment. Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
