LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST

Position Duties/Responsibilities You will develop and review program technical and mission documentation (e.g., Operational Requirements, Mission Element Need Statement, Decision Coordinating Paper, Program Master Plan, Program Management Plans, etc.), You will participates in the development and design of new systems by assessing the supportability and maintainability of proposed systems and technology applications. You will develop and implement the support and maintenance concepts and develops the maintainability requirements for assigned systems. You will organize and chair the Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) Management Team (ILSMT). You will perform cost analysis and life cycle costing studies for assigned systems. You will review and justify requirements for new support facilities and plans the activation of system support sites. You will review and approve any changes to logistics plans, including Maintenance Plans.li> You will review and assess the logistics impact of ECPs and recommends approval/disapproval as in the proceeding phase. You will review and approve program price-outs and budget sub-missions from logistics element managers during all of the life cycle phases.
