Travel RN - Emergency Dept

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring a minimum of 3 years trauma/adult ER experience and a CA RN license. Requirements Active CA RN license required (EMSA not accepted) BSN required Minimum 3 years of experience in Trauma and Adult Emergency Department, 5 years preferred Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, CPI, NIHSS, PALS Epic charting experience required Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred Skilled in pediatric and adult emergency care including trauma, cardiac, respiratory, neurological, and psychiatric conditions Experience with IV therapy, phlebotomy, blood product administration, and central line care Experience with ventilator care, chest tube management, ABG interpretation, and intubation Experience administering emergency medications, IV vasopressors, and procedural sedation Experience managing dysrhythmias and obtaining 12-lead EKGs Experience with isolation precautions, PPE, triage, and orthopedic splinting Responsibilities Combined adult/pediatric Emergency Department setting Average daily census of 140 with 21 beds Nurse to patient ratio of 1:4 Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours from 19:00-07:30, with possible mid-day shifts based on staffing needs Every other weekend required No floating outside of scope required No on-call requirements Uses Epic charting system Provide emergency care across a combined adult/pediatric patient population Manage a wide range of emergency conditions including trauma, cardiac events, respiratory distress, and behavioral health crises Navy blue scrub color required First-time travelers considered with caution based on strong ER nursing experience Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate Recommended to keep RTO under 7 days per assignment when possible Former UCLA contractors, travelers, or permanent employees must be cleared by Talent Management before reapplying, with a required 12-month separation for RNs Candidates currently active with any University of California (UC) entity, as employee or contractor, are not eligible for consideration Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts Job ID: P-760159 Open Positions: 3 #J-18808-Ljbffr American Traveler
