Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Occupational Therapist Discipline: Therapy Start Date: 09/21/2026 Duration: 26 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 8 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Job Summary Occupational Therapist Inpatient in Mission Bay. This role involves providing specialized occupational therapy services within an inpatient setting, focusing on post-operative orthopedic aftercare, acute fractures, and various hand and upper extremity injuries. The position offers a unique opportunity to work with a multidisciplinary team on a comprehensive rehabilitation program. Job Details Certifications and Education Requirements: BLS certification, CA license in hand, and a degree in occupational therapy with a minimum of three years of hand clinic experience; experience in adult outpatient settings is preferred. Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per day, with a minimum of 40 hours per week. Additional Responsibilities: Handling post-operative orthopedic aftercare, acute fracture management, and treatment of a range of hand and upper extremity injuries including nerve injuries, ligament repairs, and joint conditions. Specialized Skills: Utilization of adaptive equipment, biofeedback, therapeutic exercises, splinting, electrical stimulation, and other modalities such as ultrasound and TENS. Float: Float rotation may be required to various facilities within the geographic area to meet departmental needs. Submission Requirements: Must provide two references from the most recent employer, and employment history with any University of California medical facility must be included for rehire eligibility checks.
