Quality Control SpecialistThe QC Specialist will perform quality control reviews of the Housing Choice Voucher program's files to ensure compliance with HUD Regulations and the PHCD Administrative Plan.Operates under the direct general supervision of a Supervisor; the Quality Control Specialist exercises no supervision over other employees.The below statements are intended to describe the general nature and scope of work being performed by this position. This is not a complete listing of all responsibilities, duties and/or skills required. Other duties may be assigned:Conducts monthly review of tenant files, identifying improper application of policies and procedures by staff members, to ensure compliance with HUD Regulations and PHCD Administrative Plan.Conduct annual Section Eight Management Assessment Program(SEMAP) review of filesAssists in the training of new employees to ensure the Housing Specialists will have a working knowledge of the HCV ProgramUses the QC knowledge bank, NMA Wiki, PHCD Administrative Plan, and other resources to ensure maximum accuracy for citing errors and comments.Conduct peer to peer reviews to provide support as a mentor to new and existing housing specialistsCreate weekly report in an accurate format as requested and updated by the QC Supervisor and delivers the report timely each week.Respond to disputes for errors cited from the housing specialist in a timely fashionOther file audits as necessaryOther duties as assignedHigh School Diploma; Education equivalent to a two-year degree from a regionally accredited institution in Public Administration, Social Science or a closely related field; a minimum of two years of progressively responsible work experience for a public agency, or related work in the social service or community service field preferred. Alternatively, a two-year degree with four years of experience will satisfy the qualifications. Must have the ability to interpret and apply regulations pertaining to the program. Must be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing and have excellent interpersonal skills and possess strong computer and organizational skills.
