Trial & Defense Attorney

Clyde & Co is seeking a Senior Counsel in California with 10+ years of experience in insurance defense. We are looking for a bright litigator and excellent writer who is highly motivated and proactive with their caseload. We need someone who will be able to act independently throughout the discovery process, assist in trial, and maintain a strong interest in these matters. Key Responsibilities Manage a caseload of 10-20 matters Actively investigate claims and prepare case handling strategies Draft and respond to discovery Review and analyze documents for production Conduct legal research using Westlaw Take and defend depositions Draft and submit pleadings and motions Attend hearings and argue motions Draft pre‑trial and trial documents Prepare cases for mediation/trial, and participate in mediation/trial Actively and effectively report to clients Manage and supervise associates and paralegals Essential Skills & Experience Admission to the bar in California Extensive experience in all aspects of litigation Exceptional legal writing and communication skills Effective oral advocacy skills Strong interpersonal skills Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects Ability to identify and resolve problems quickly Benefits At Clyde & Co, we believe in supporting your professional growth while ensuring you have the flexibility and benefits you need to thrive.
