About the Position

TravelNurseSource is working with Malone Healthcare to find a qualified PICU RN in Cleveland, Ohio, 44140!

• Provide specialized nursing care in a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) setting for patients up to 25 years of age
• Perform epilepsy monitoring and deliver specialized care across all applicable pediatric age groups
• Demonstrate competency in EKG/ECG rhythm recognition and administration of inotropes
• Rotate between day and night shifts as needed to meet operational needs of the unit
• Work at least every other holiday as part of the standard scheduling expectation
• Complete ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation with an acceptable passing score

• Minimum of 12 months of permanent experience in PICU or the specialty being applied for
• Active, permanent Ohio RN license or Compact State license required - must be in hand at time of submission
• Active AHA or American Red Cross BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required - must be in hand at time of submission; no pending certifications accepted
• One professional reference required from a manager, Assistant Nurse Manager, supervisor, or director in the applicable specialty from an assignment worked within the past 12 months (co-worker references not accepted)
• No open licensing hits or open background check cases; all background hits are reviewed by the facility
• Locals are welcome and accepted

• NIHSS certification preferred
• Experience with epilepsy monitoring in a pediatric or critical care environment
• Familiarity with ECG rhythm interpretation and inotrope management in a PICU setting
