This role focuses on building relationships, driving sales, and creating meaningful impact in the foodservice industry. What You’ll Do as a Territory Manager Be the Customer Champion: Own and nurture the customer relationship in a team‑based selling model. Educate customers on ordering platforms and provide menu consultations, product recommendations, and pricing strategies. Drive Sales Success: Measure success by selling to customers, increasing case growth, and acquiring new business through impactful presentations and tailored approaches. Team Based Selling: Collaborate with Specialists on penetration opportunities and new account opening; work closely with marketing, supply chain, and customer service to ensure seamless product delivery. Lead with Insight: Develop new business by identifying prospective customers through market intelligence databases, directories, client leads, industry organizations, and trade shows. Delivery Resolution: Manage deliveries per the transportation schedule and troubleshoot order‑process problems such as delivery mis‑picks, short loads, and stock‑outs. Competitive Advantage: Understand market conditions, product innovations, and competitors’ offerings, and share insights with customers as part of value‑added services. Business Travel: Drive your personal vehicle for regular check–ins, site visits, and follow‑ups to ensure customer satisfaction. SUPERVISION No direct reports. WORK ENVIRONMENT Daily outside the office visiting customers in a variety of weather conditions. Minimum Qualifications 1+ year of sales experience preferred. H.S. Diploma or equivalent. Valid driver’s license with a good motor‑vehicle record. Experience in foodservice, culinary, restaurant management, or hospitality preferred. Excellent oral and written communication skills and presentation abilities. Ability to build internal and external relationships and to cold‑call for new business. Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills. A competitive spirit with a drive to exceed goals. Problem‑solving, organization, and negotiation skills. Team‑up mentality for collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. Tech‑savviness – proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM tools like Salesforce is a plus.
