Job Description Summary \n
\n
\nPerforms specialized maintenance and repair services in either multiple crafts (such as electrical, carpentry, welding, plumbing, sheet metal, painting, and millwrighting), or in a single craft but with significant, specialized expertise. Has a sound understanding of the maintenance history of the building, equipment, and other facilities to be maintained.\n
\n
RESPONSIBILITIES \n
\n

\n
• Support the Maintenance Supervisor, in compliance with Porocel policies, organizational goals, and applicable regulations
\n
• Maintain/repair all plant equipment and machinery Baghouses, Calciners, Fans, Pumps, Tubs, Tanks, Conveyors, Belt Dryers, Mills, Screens, Bucket Elevators, Blowers, Mixers, Extruders , Activators, conveying systems, etc.
\n
• Maintain all tools, to be used in plant environment
\n
• Always Work safely . Report anything found to be unsafe to your Supervisor; always wear your safety equipment (safety glasses, steel toe boots, hardhat, and earplugs) and any other PPE, as required.
\n
• Troubleshoot in your work area, communicating with your Supervisor, of any downtime or any trouble that you may have.
\n
• Must have communication skills, verbal as well as written
\n
• Other duties as assigned by Plant Manager and Production Dept. Head
\n

REQUIREMENTS \n
\n

\n
• Must have at least a high school diploma/GED
\n
• Drivers License is required
\n
• Experience operating Forklifts Preferred.
\n
• 2-3 years of Plant Mechanic Maintenance work.
\n
• Ability to do some minor welding preferred
\n
• Must have the ability to read and comprehend work and safety instructions and directions.
\n
