Job Location: Community Support Services - Akron, OH 44311

Position Type: Internship (Unpaid, Field Placement/Internships) for students pursuing a BSW or a master’s degree program leading to licensure as an LSW or LPC (e.g., Social Work, Clinical Mental Health Counseling). Opportunities in Counseling, Case Management, Homeless Outreach, Intake, and other areas.

Placement Schedule

• Summer Placement – Applications accepted during the winter (January/February)
• Fall Placements – Applications accepted during the spring (March/April)
• Spring Placements – Applications accepted during the summer (September/October)
• Unpaid Internship (1 semester) – for BA programs such as Psychology; applications submitted at least one semester prior to the placement beginning

Qualifications

• Affiliated with a BSW, master’s degree program leading to licensure as an LSW or LPC, or a BA program in Psychology
• Must pass a required criminal background check and drug test
• Must have a car, a valid Ohio driver’s license, and be insurable through the Agency’s insurance carrier
