Registered Nurse (RN) - Cardiac Telemetry
The Registered Nurse (RN) will provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with cardiovascular conditions in a 32-bed Cardiac Telemetry unit. This position involves continuous telemetry monitoring and the management of heart failure patients during their inpatient care and post-hospitalization services.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver holistic nursing care to meet the diverse physical, emotional, psychological, spiritual, and cultural needs of patients and their families.
- Provide continuous EKG and oxygen saturation monitoring via telemetry.
- Administer intravenous and oral medications specific to cardiac conditions and arrhythmias.
- Prepare and send patients for cardiac interventions, surgeries, diagnostic tests, and other procedures.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure quality patient care and effective management of heart failure.
Qualifications
- Must possess a valid South Carolina Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- At least 1 year of experience with the EPIC electronic medical record system.
- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in nursing, with 3 years experience within specialty for first-time travelers.
Working Conditions
This position requires shift work, including 3x12-hour shifts from 07:00 - 19:30, along with weekend coverage every other weekend based on need. The role may require floating to other areas as needed.
