Position Title: Psychologist Compensation: $70,000 Department: Counseling & Health Services About this opportunity The Ball State University Counseling Center is looking for an experienced psychologist to join our growing, innovative team. We believe that your skillset will be a valuable asset to Ball State University, and you will be part of a team that promotes the health and well‑being of college students. The ideal candidate will be a licensed psychologist (licensure in Indiana is a plus) with at least one year of experience working in a university counseling center or with young adults. Experience with testing/assessment or working with anxiety disorders, trauma or substance use disorders is desirable. What you'll do and what you'll bring Position Function: Provide individual and group counseling; outreach/consultation services for Ball State University students, faculty, and staff; conduct supervision, training and perform administrative duties as assigned; serve on unit and university committees as appointed and assigned. Job Duties Provide individual and group counseling services to students. Provide outreach/consultation services as assigned. Provide supervision and instruction to students in accredited training programs. Provide university and community service. Perform other related duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications A.B.D. in clinical or counseling psychology from a program and internship that are APA‑accredited. Ph.D., Psy.D., Ed.D. or similar degree; must be completed 6 months of employment. Completion of an APA‑accredited internship. Current employment authorization in the U.S. without sponsorship. Preferred Qualifications Completed Ph.D., Psy.D. or Ed.D. in clinical or counseling psychology from an APA‑accredited program. One year of experience providing therapy to college students or a young adult population. Experience working with athletes, anxiety disorders, testing/assessment, trauma, or substance use disorders.
