Contract Occupational Therapist

This opportunity focuses on delivering meaningful OT interventions to children experiencing developmental delays and complex medical diagnoses, helping them meet their unique learning and daily living goals.

What you bring:

• Occupational Therapy licensure in New York (active and in good standing)
• Experience with pediatric populations, especially in school or home settings
• Strong understanding of individualized education plans (IEPs) and adherence to best practices
• Previous work supporting students with global developmental delays, cerebral palsy, HIE, seizure disorders, or multiple disabilities is highly valued
• Ability to tailor interventions to nonverbal, non-ambulatory students and collaborate closely with families or caregivers
• Compassionate, patient-centered approach and excellent communication skills
• Reliable transportation for home visits within the specified geographic area

Key responsibilities:

• Provide occupational therapy services in a home setting, including direct intervention:
• 3x per week, 30 minutes per session, for students with developmental delays and hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy
• 1x per week, 45 minutes per session, for a student with global developmental delays and cerebral palsy
• Conduct ongoing evaluations, write progress notes, and collaborate on IEP goals
• Select and implement individualized strategies, adapting techniques for nonverbal or non-ambulatory needs
• Work cooperatively with families and educational teams to foster goal achievement
• Maintain accurate records in compliance with regulatory requirements
