Responsibilities Analyze electrical, mechanical, architectural drawings and other documents to prepare time, cost, material, and labor estimates, budgets, and rough order magnitudes. Read project specifications and general conditions, organize bid documents, perform drawing take‑offs, prepare and submit bid RFIs, and finalize bids using computerized estimating systems. Work closely with subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers, soliciting quotes and reviewing them for completeness with project plans and specifications. Consult with clients, vendors, subcontractors, and internal personnel to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve pre‑bid issues. Prepare detailed proposals, meet with clients to review estimates, and build lasting relationships. Attend job walks, pre‑bid meetings, and business development functions after normal work hours as needed. Provide cost alternatives and value‑engineering options for customers. Support kick‑off meetings on awarded projects, working closely with Project Managers and Foremen to communicate estimate details and project specifications. Adhere to company policies and procedures. Requirements Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable with general computing. Knowledge of commercial/industrial construction, including low‑voltage systems. Mathematical and accounting aptitude. Ability to meet tight schedules and deadlines while maintaining professionalism. Self‑motivated team player with strong interpersonal skills. Experience with Bluebeam, Accubid, Revit, and CAD preferred. Preferred: 4‑year college degree in electrical engineering, construction management, or related field. Preferred: 3+ years in electrical construction or related field. Preferred: Familiarity with Design‑Build and Design‑Assist projects and processes.
