Registered Nurse – Emergency Department (ER) in San Luis Obispo, California. Travel assignment starting 09/07/2026 for 13 weeks. Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care in the ED, including triage, treatment, and discharge planning for patients from newborns to geriatrics
- Review and complete orders promptly; provide medication teaching and document discharge instructions
- Administer medications, IV therapy, and manage indwelling lines and monitored equipment
- Recognize and respond to cardiac, respiratory, and other emergent conditions; participate in life-saving interventions and emergency activations
- Interpret ECG rhythms, monitor patient status, and coordinate with the ED team to optimize patient outcomes
- Maintain accurate, legible documentation and adhere to unit policies and chain of command

Requirements
- Current RN license in the state of practice
- Associate Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred
- Minimum two years of recent nursing experience in acute care or emergency settings
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC required (TNCC within 6 months of hire or transfer)
- NIHSS certification required
- AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS and AHA-PALS or ARC-PALS required
- EPIC experience preferred; ability to work a 3x12-night schedule
- Ability to work in a high-volume ED/acute care setting and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team
