SAFCO is seeking motivated professionals to join our Collections team at our Pompano Beach headquarters. Previous collections experience is welcome, but it is not required . We will provide the training and support you need to learn the role and succeed. This is an excellent opportunity to develop highly transferable business skills while helping customers find practical ways to resolve their accounts and rebuild their credit. Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish or English and Portuguese is a plus. This is an onsite position. Hybrid and remote arrangements are not available. What You’ll Do Speak with customers by telephone about delinquent account balances Listen to each customer’s circumstances and help identify appropriate solutions Explain payment options and negotiate workable payment arrangements Educate customers about the importance of maintaining and rebuilding their credit Assist existing customers with inbound account questions Update customer information and perform basic online research and skip tracing Maintain clear, accurate, and timely account documentation Follow Company procedures, quality standards, and consumer-protection requirements Work with your team to achieve individual and departmental goals What You Bring Current college students and recent graduates are encouraged to apply Strong communication and active-listening skills Confidence speaking with people by telephone A professional, respectful, and solutions-focused approach Basic computer skills and the ability to learn new systems Reliability, attention to detail, and a desire to achieve The ability to work onsite at our Pompano Beach headquarters five days per week Previous customer service, call center, sales, banking, or collections experience is helpful, but not required.
