Pharmacy Shift LeadNaphCare is hiring a Pharmacy Shift Lead to join our pharmacy team at our Corporate Headquarters located in Birmingham, AL.NaphCare Rx, is NaphCare's in-house pharmacy dedicated solely to correctional facilities across the country. Connected by our operations management software and HER, TechCare, NaphCare Rx pharmacists become an integrated, essential part of the clinical team, from electronic medicine orders and secure delivery to pharmacy consultation and review. NaphCare Rx also extends purchasing discounts and cost savings directly to our partners and employees.We are seeking an experienced and motivated Pharmacy Shift Lead to oversee evening pharmacy operations from 2:00 PM to 11:00 PM. This role provides hands-on leadership to pharmacy technicians and pharmacists during the shift, ensuring workflow efficiency. The Process Manager serves as the primary workflow leader during evening hours, maintaining productivity standards, supporting team performance, and ensuring compliance with all pharmacy regulations.This is a full-time, on-site position with hours of 2pm – 11pm, Monday through Friday.ResponsibilitiesLeadership & WorkflowDirect and coordinate technician workflow throughout the evening shiftAssign staff to fulfillment stations (filling, packaging, staging, shipping, inventory support)Conduct thorough shift handoff communication to next-day leadershipTeam Support & DevelopmentProvide real-time coaching and support to pharmacy techniciansAssist with onboarding and training of new team membersReinforce performance expectations and productivity benchmarksAddress minor workflow conflicts and escalate personnel concerns appropriatelyCommunication & ReportingServe as primary operational contact during evening hoursCommunicate staffing or production concerns to pharmacy managementDocument and report discrepancies, errors, or shipping delaysProvide end-of-shift productivity updatesQualificationsExperience / Requirements / QualificationsMust hold and maintain a current, unrestricted Pharmacy Technician certification issued by the Alabama Board of Pharmacy with a minimum of 1-year experiencePharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) technician certification is requiredMust complete sufficient hours of CEU to maintain Technician license and technician certification.Ensure all pharmaceutical services provided within the facility conform to state licensure, accreditation, regulatory agency requirements, and company policies and proceduresDemonstrate professionalism by using objectivity, maintaining self-control when under pressure, separating professional from personal issues, displaying emotional maturity, maintaining a high degree of integrity, and promoting a positive work environment by setting an example.Notify critical information to the next level of management that may have a negative impact on client and/or vendor relations or patient careWillingness to complete departmental duties in other areas as neededWillingness to complete special projects as needed from managementWillingness to work assigned schedule and mandatory overtime in peak timesMust have the ability to maintain confidentiality of all proprietary and/or confidential information and integrity, professionalism and ability to adhere to a Code of Conduct and comply with all facility(s) correctional healthcare policies, procedures, and legal requirementsMust pass the facility's criminal background check and drug screeningNaphCare is one of the largest providers of healthcare services to correctional facilities throughout the US, and we are growing.
