Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Day Shift (6:00 AM – 6:30 PM) | Weekends and holidays as needed

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 38-bed Medical Surgical unit managing a patient ratio of up to 1:6, including admissions following discharges
• Care for a diverse patient population including adults and older teens with diagnoses such as pneumonia, UTI, dehydration, influenza, alcohol withdrawal, and respiratory illness, as well as post-surgical patients (orthopedic, general surgery, spinal, and urology)
• Titrate and manage drips including Heparin; administer set-rate drips such as Bumex and Lasix
• Conduct bedside shift reports and perform proactive patient rounding
• Collaborate with CNAs, charge nurses, cardiac techs, and respiratory therapy to deliver team-based care; assist with answering call lights as needed
• Float to the IMCU for Medical Surgical assignments as required

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in good standing
• Minimum 1 year of Medical Surgical nursing experience
• Current BLS certification
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic health record documentation
• Ability to manage a 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Experience with bedside shift report

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with titratable drips, particularly Heparin
• Familiarity with respiratory therapy equipment including tracheostomies, CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow oxygen
• Prior travel nursing experience (first-time travelers also welcome)
