Master Planner Principal - Program Scheduler

Job Description

Working as a Master Program Planner at BAE Systems Space & Mission Systems (SMS) is an exciting opportunity to become part of a high-tech team of people developing innovative products for the Aerospace and Defense industry. You will be responsible for developing a multi-year plan that the team must follow to produce the customer deliverable. You will coordinate the schedule across all the work centers and incorporate the work into the Program Integrated Master Schedule (IMS). You will maintain the schedule on a weekly basis. This position will work from our beautiful Colorado location.

A Master Program Planner Principal applies extensive expertise, and has full knowledge of related disciplines. Develops solutions to complex problems which require the regular use of ingenuity and innovation. Ensures solutions are consistent with organization objectives. Work is performed without appreciable direction. Effects of decisions are long-lasting and heavily influence the future course of the organization. May function in a project leadership role. Serves as consultant to management and special external spokesperson for the organization on major matters pertaining to policies, plans and objectives. May interact with senior external personnel on significant technical matters often requiring coordination between organizations.

What Youll Do:

• BS/BA degree and 6 or more years of work experience.
• Demonstrates knowledge and proven experience in utilizing business principles, concepts, practices, and standards.
• Excellent communication skills and presentation skills are required.
• Ability to work in a team setting, coordinating group initiatives in order to bring a project to completion.
• Must have a positive attitude and be willing to take initiative.
• Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Capabilities Units and the Company. Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
• Perform other duties as necessary.

On-Site Work Environment: This position requires regular in-person engagement by working on-site three or more days each normally scheduled week in the primary work location. Travel and local commute between company campuses and other possible non-company locations may be required.

Working Conditions:

• Work is performed in an office environment, laboratory, cleanroom, or production floor.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

• Bachelors degree plus 6 or more years related experience.
• Each higher-level degree, i.e., Masters Degree or Ph.D., may substitute for two years of experience. Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education. Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education.
• Demonstrates knowledge and proven experience in utilizing business principles, concepts, practices, and standards.

• Ability to work in a team setting, coordinating group initiatives in order to bring a project to completion.
• Must have a positive attitude and be willing to take initiative.

A security clearance or access with Polygraph is not required to be eligible for this position. However, the applicant must be willing and eligible for submission, depending on program requirements, after an offer is accepted and must be able to maintain the applicable clearance/access.

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

• Experience using MS Project and Excel, along with other MS Office Products.

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $101398 - $172377

However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
