Role Description The Hardware Engineer role is a full‑time, on‑site position based in the San Francisco Bay Area. This role involves designing, developing, and testing hardware components and systems for humanoid robots and drones, including circuit boards, sensors, and control units. The Hardware Engineer will collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams in mechanical engineering, software, and systems integration to ensure robust performance under demanding operational conditions. Day‑to‑day responsibilities include creating and reviewing schematics, performing simulations and hardware validation, troubleshooting and resolving hardware issues, optimizing designs for reliability and manufacturability, and supporting prototype builds and field tests. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong skills in Hardware Development and Computer Hardware, including system‑level design and integration. Candidates should possess expertise in Circuit Design and Electronics Hardware Design for complex, embedded and mixed‑signal systems. Candidates should possess solid foundational Hardware skills, including component selection, PCB layout collaboration, and hardware debugging. Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field. Experience with embedded systems, sensors, actuators, and power management for robotics or drones is highly beneficial. Familiarity with industry‑standard tools for schematic capture, simulation, and test instrumentation (e.g., oscilloscopes, logic analyzers). Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment and communicate technical concepts clearly.
