Role Description The Insurance Sales Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in Joppa, MD within a State Farm Agent’s office. In this position, the specialist will engage with prospective and existing customers to understand their needs, recommend appropriate insurance products, and support policy enrollment and servicing. Daily responsibilities include generating leads, conducting coverage reviews, preparing quotes, and explaining policy options in clear, accessible language. The role also involves handling customer inquiries, processing changes to existing policies, and collaborating with the agency team to meet sales and service goals. This position requires consistent in-person interaction, follow-up calls, and accurate documentation in agency systems. Qualifications Candidates should possess skills in Insurance Sales and Insurance to effectively recommend appropriate coverage solutions and close new business. Candidates should possess skills in Insurance Brokerage and Health Insurance to support customers with a range of personal and health-related insurance needs. Candidates should possess strong Customer Service skills to build trust, handle inquiries, and deliver responsive, respectful support. Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex information in a clear, customer-friendly manner. Goal-oriented mindset with proven ability to meet or exceed individual and team performance targets. Comfort with using computers, CRM systems, and digital tools for quoting, documentation, and follow-up. Ability to work on-site full time in Joppa, MD, maintaining punctuality and reliability.
