Sr Engineer II, Product Security

Sr Engineer II, Product Security at Masimo (Danaher) implements secure-by-design principles across medical device software platforms. The role executes product security activities including vulnerability assessment, security patch processes, and cybersecurity lifecycle management while collaborating with software, quality, and regulatory teams in Irvine, CA.

Responsibilities

• Support secure-by-design implementation through threat modeling, architecture reviews, and risk assessments for assigned products
• Drive security patch release processes and secure controls for addressing product vulnerabilities
• Perform impact assessments and execute security testing to validate product and software security posture
• Partner with software engineering teams to integrate cybersecurity into CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps workflows
• Collaborate with Quality, Regulatory, and Risk Management on cybersecurity compliance and product lifecycle security

Requirements

• B.S. in computer science, cybersecurity, software engineering, or related technical field
• 8+ years software engineering experience with 3+ years in cybersecurity or product security
• Working knowledge of secure software design, application security, and cryptography
• Experience with threat modeling, vulnerability assessment, and risk-based security decisions
• Proven integration of cybersecurity practices into software development lifecycle
• Experience working in agile development environments
• Medical device or regulated industry cybersecurity experience preferred

Compensation: $140,000-$170,000 base, plus up to 10% annual bonus
