Job Description:
Join our dedicated Hematology & Oncology team in an ongoing full-time position starting July 27, 2026. The role involves providing comprehensive adult hematology and oncology care in a rural community setting, with an established patient panel and a supportive clinical environment. The schedule consists of weekday clinics from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, including a 30-minute lunch break, with coverage requirements including inpatient and phone call duties.


You will see an average of 15 patients per day, with a balanced caseload of hematology and oncology cases, including solid tumors and benign hematology. The clinic features a 14-chair infusion center and a 2-bed infusion room onsite, supported by oncology-certified nursing staff. Responsibilities include managing outpatient care, participating in tumor boards, and providing consultative services for hospital admissions, which are managed by hospitalists.


Schedule & Coverage:

• Full-time, 5 days a week
• Clinic hours: 8:00 AM 4:30 PM
• Inpatient and outpatient responsibilities with 2 weekends/month of 24-hour call coverage
• Weeknight call from 4:15 PM to 8:00 AM, averaging 2-3 patient calls evening times
• No procedural responsibilities required (bone marrow biopsies, lumbar punctures, port access, BMT)

Qualifications:

• Board Certified or Eligible in Hematology & Oncology
• DEA license required
• Minimum 1-year experience preferred
• PA license or IMLC for licensing reciprocity
• Standard credentialing of approximately 90 days, with temporary privileges available

Support & Environment:

• EMR: EPIC
• Onsite support: 1.3 physicians, 3 APPs, pharmacist
• Regular participation in disease-specific and general tumor boards
