Behavioral Health Crisis Provider Training Specialist- School ofSocial Work Wayne State University is searching for an experienced Behavioral Health Crisis Provider Training Specialist- School ofSocial Work at its Detroit campus location. Essential functions (job duties): The Behavioral Health Crisis Provider Training Specialist supportsthe Behavioral Health Crisis Provider Training team in theimplementation and ongoing delivery of the Behavioral Health CrisisProvider Training Program. This position plays a key role insupporting the statewide expansion of behavioral health crisisresponse training throughout Michigan, while also contributing toout-of-state training initiatives and partnerships. Primary responsibilities include providing technical andprogrammatic support to participants to promote successfulprogression and completion of the training program, coordinating,and facilitating in-person Skills Days training across the state,and assisting with the planning, implementation, and evaluation oftraining activities. The Training Specialist will also collaboratewith instructors, community partners, and subject matter experts toensure high-quality training delivery and support additionalteam-based initiatives that advance the program's goals. This position is housed within the Center for Behavioral Health andJustice and is a full-time (100% FTE) position that reports to theBehavioral Health Crisis Provider Training Manager. Assist the Behavioral Health Crisis Provider Training Manager inthe planning, coordination, and execution of the Behavioral HealthCrisis Provider Training Program. Responsibilities includeidentifying and coordinating Skills Day training locations,managing communication and logistics for Skills Day participants,instructors, and guest presenters, and serving as an instructorduring Skills Day trainings across Michigan. Ensures that alltraining activities are delivered in compliance with MichiganDepartment of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) requirements. Assesses and evaluates the content and effectiveness of individualtraining modules and the overall Behavioral Health Crisis ProviderTraining Program. Recommends and implements approved enhancementsor modifications to program content as directed to supportcontinuous quality improvement. Contributes to the development ofquarterly program reports by compiling, reviewing, and summarizingtraining data, participant outcomes, and other programmetrics. Supports the development and expansion of behavioral health crisisresponse education by collaborating on the design, implementation,and evaluation of new training programs, curricula, and learningopportunities. Works with subject matter experts and communitypartners to identify emerging training needs, develop instructionalmaterials, pilot new initiatives, and integrate evidence-informedpractices into future program offerings. Collaborate with research assistant to monitor participant progressthroughout the Behavioral Health Crisis Provider Training Programand provide timely support to promote successful course completion.Assists with the coordination and facilitation of synchronoustraining sessions, including participant communication, technicalsupport, attendance tracking, and other activities necessary toensure an effective learning experience. Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications: Education Master's degree Master's degree from an accredited college or university with a degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related fieldof study. Experience Intermediate (3 to 4 years job-relatedexperience) Clinical practice in crisis response required. Training/Instructor experience preferred. Must possess and maintain current licensure in the State ofMichigan Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LMSW) or Licensed.Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) or State of Michigan LimitedLicensed Master Social Worker (LLMSW) or Limited Licensed.Professional Counselor (LLPC), with eligibility to obtain full LMSWor LPC licensure as required by the position. Professional experience in academic institutions or a similarprofessional environment designing and managing trainingprograms.
