As a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Room, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care. You will work under the direction of the nurse manager, performing a variety of direct and indirect patient care activities. Your ability to function independently and collaboratively will be essential in this role.

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing interventions and patient goals
• Provide patient care based on established standards and protocols
• Deliver patient and family education tailored to individual needs
• Coordinate discharge planning with support systems and resources
• Delegate and supervise nursing interventions appropriately
• Prioritize patient care and seek assistance when necessary
• Document all pertinent data and therapeutic interventions accurately
• Promote learning and professional development for self and colleagues
• Identify and address patient safety risks and ethical issues
• Administer medications and intravenous therapy safely
• Perform initial assessments and implement triage protocols
• Initiate safety plans for patients at risk of abuse
• Maintain knowledge of disaster policies and procedures
• Recognize and respond to changes in laboratory and diagnostic results
• Administer vasoactive medications and manage critical drips
• Interpret arterial blood gases and manage intubated patients
• Complete medication reconciliation documentation
• Implement components of the VAP bundle consistently

Requirements:

• AS in nursing required, BS in nursing preferred
• Registered Nurse with current MA license
• ACLS upon hire or active BLS card with AHA ACLS within 60 days
• AHA PALS within six months of hire
• Need 2 years experience in setting
