Overview: As a Line Cook at 404 Celsius, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality dishes to our guests. Your culinary skills and attention to detail will help us maintain our reputation for excellence. You will work closely with the kitchen team to prepare, cook, and present food in a timely and efficient manner. Key Responsibilities: Food Preparation: Prepare ingredients by washing, chopping, slicing, and marinating as per the recipes and specifications. Follow standard recipes and presentation specifications to ensure consistency and quality. Assist in inventory management by ensuring all ingredients are fresh and available. Cooking and Presentation: Cook food items to order, ensuring proper cooking times and temperatures. Plate and garnish dishes according to restaurant standards. Monitor food stock levels and communicate with kitchen management when supplies are low. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations, adhering to health and safety regulations. Clean and sanitize cooking equipment, utensils, and surfaces regularly. Dispose of waste in accordance with restaurant and health department guidelines. Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with other kitchen staff to ensure a smooth and efficient service flow. Communicate effectively with front-of-house staff to coordinate orders and manage guest requests. Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for menu improvements and kitchen operations. Quality and Consistency: Ensure all food items meet the restaurant’s high standards for taste, presentation, and quality. Efficiency: Work quickly and efficiently under pressure, especially during peak service times, while maintaining attention to detail.
