By inspiring each other and fostering an inclusive, friendly environment that helps us thrive as individuals we create a unique and cooperative work sphere.We value diversity and inclusion and care for everybody that supports us with his and her skills.Find your future with us and join our team!Initially will lead the establishment and ramp-up of engineering at a large, high-volume, cutting-edge automotive manufacturing operation.As a part of the above, and on an ongoing basis will also:Establish strong team member relations, at all levels and provide support for people development, coaching and mentoring with a focus on teamwork and inclusionCollaborate with Japanese team members from Mazda and ToyotaWork cross-functionally with manufacturing/conveyance Team Members to ensure on-time delivery of parts to productionMonitor and evaluate supplier performance from the United States, Mexico, Canada, and JapanDaily monitoring of component parts flow and adjusting inventory levels to achieve appropriate inventory levels on the Shop floor, identifying and acting on abnormalities within the supply chainCrisis management and coordination with all internal and external supply chain stakeholdersLead problem solving efforts to countermeasure and mitigate impact of abnormal supply chain conditionsSupport new model launches and shutdown coordination activitiesContribute to and support annual business plans and strategies to support Mazda Toyota Manufacturing prioritiesSupport change point management activities impacting production and production systemsAbility to work and travel outside of typical business hours when needed (domestically and internationally)What You BringBachelor's Degree (or Higher) in Industrial Engineering, Mathematics, Business Management, Information Technology, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related manufacturing bachelor's degrees, or equivalent work experienceMathematical skill, which may include a college Major or Minor in MathematicsCross-functional problem-solving skills and experienceExperience coordinating, presenting, or leading decision-making meetingsStrong Microsoft office skills, specifically Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and PowerBiAbility to work up to 20 hours overtime during peak times, including weekend/holiday workFlexibility to work 2nd shift and or rotating shift patternWhat Will Set You ApartBilingual English/SpanishExperience working directly with suppliers for supplier performance managementToyota Parts Ordering experience within a high-volume production environmentOperational knowledge of eKanban ordering systemVehicle manufacturing experience within a Body Weld, Paint, Assembly shop, or suppliersFunctional project management skills in a large-scale manufacturing environmentDeveloping project strategies, problem-solving and countermeasuresWhat We OfferAt Mazda Toyota Manufacturing USA Inc., we offer the opportunity to end each day with a smile and a sense of pride in the work that you do.
