Bakery Clerk Location: Howell, New Jersey Type: Contract-to-permanent Compensation: $16.00 hourly Contractor Work Model: Onsite Hours: 8:30 AM-5:00 PM Monday-Thursday & 9:00 AM-3:00 PM on Friday. Will be paid for 40 hour work week Position Summary: The Bakery Clerk is responsible for providing outstanding customer service, maintaining product displays, assisting with food preparation, and ensuring the bakery is clean, organized, and fully stocked. Key Responsibilities: Greet customers warmly and assist with product selection Take and package customer orders accurately Operate cash register and handle transactions Slice and package baked goods Restock displays and monitor product freshness Assist with basic food prep and decorating as needed Maintain cleanliness and follow food safety standards Support team members during busy periods Qualifications: Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred Previous retail or food service experience preferred Strong customer service and communication skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Basic math skills for handling transactions Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs.
