Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our 4 Central Medicine unit, specializing in medical and telemetry care. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with a variety of medical diagnoses.

The 4 Central Medicine unit encompasses 17 beds with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4. Our team receives patients from multiple sources including the Emergency Department, Medical ICU, clinics, outside hospitals, and nursing facilities. The unit handles a diverse range of medical conditions such as:

• Diabetes management
• Sickle cell crisis
• COPD exacerbations
• End-stage renal disease (ESRD) with pulmonary hypertension
• Wound care
• Management of drains and tubes

Shifts: Day shifts (3x12-hour, 07:00 - 19:00)

Contract Duration: 13 weeks

Hours: Option for 36 or 48 hours per week

Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend

Holiday Requirement: Must work 2 out of 3 winter holidays

Time Off: Time off around Christmas is not approved; however, 40 hours off can be approved during the contract.

BLS certification preferred; ACLS certification preferred but not required

Experience with Epic electronic medical record system is required

Must be able to adhere to the float policy in place

Virginia nursing license must be obtained, pending applications will be considered
