Lab Assistant (Data Entry Representative I (SP)) – Tucker, GA, Tuesday to Saturday, 1:00 AM to 9:30 AM Pay range: $17.75+ per hour; employee may be eligible to receive a shift differential of 10% for some or all hours worked on the second shift and 15% for some or all hours worked on the third shift. Salary offers are based on factors such as skills, training, experience, education, and certifications. Successful candidates may also be eligible for an annual performance bonus. Individuals in this position are primarily responsible for data entry related to patients and clients. The Data Entry Representative I (DER I) works within the Specimen Processing Department and requires a strong data entry background. The department operates in a production environment, emphasizing productivity and quality standards. Responsibilities Determine and verify client account numbers, patient demographics, and order codes in the Laboratory Information System (LIS). Accurately perform all functions in a timely manner. Ensure accurate data entry of all required information on requisitions. Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations at all times. Work effectively in a fast‑paced environment. Meet production and quality standards. Maintain detail‑orientation and independent work habits. Learn assigned job duties and understand how all functions in Specimen Processing fit together. Understand compliance policies related to Specimen Processing. Achieve 100% productivity rate within 6 months. Perform other duties as assigned. Preferred Work Experience Prior experience primarily in data entry; a production environment is preferred. Physical And Mental Requirements Able to sit for long periods. Ability to visually interpret information. Skills Solid organizational skills. Ability to transcribe and determine appropriate order codes and account numbers. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Effective communication with all levels of staff. Maintain composure while working under pressure.
