Position Overview

Description of Responsibilities

• Execute a variety of ultrasound examinations, which include abdominal, obstetric, gynecological, vascular, and small parts imaging
• Prioritize patient comfort and safety during examinations, providing clear and empathetic explanations of each step
• Collaborate seamlessly with radiologists and referring physicians to generate high-quality diagnostic images
• Manage and maintain imaging equipment, promptly communicating any malfunctions
• Keep precise documentation of procedures and maintain patient records in the electronic medical system
• Stay informed about new advancements in ultrasound imaging techniques and best practices

Education Requirements

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related field
• Completion of a CAAHEP-accredited Sonography program is preferred

Certifications Required

• Current certification by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or equivalent
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is preferred
