Puppy Island Care & Spa is looking for a friendly, reliable, and organized Front Desk Receptionist to join our team.

We are a busy dog daycare, boarding, grooming, and spa facility in Glendale. The front desk is the first impression of our business, so we need someone who is professional, warm with customers, confident on the phone, and comfortable working in a fast-paced pet care environment.

This position requires strong customer service skills, sales ability, follow-up skills, and the ability to stay focused in a busy and sometimes chaotic environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and check dogs in/out
• Answer phone calls, texts, and customer questions
• Schedule daycare, boarding, grooming, and spa appointments
• Follow up with leads, new customers, and existing clients
• Help close new customers by explaining our services clearly and professionally
• Communicate pricing, packages, policies, and service options
• Communicate clearly with groomers, managers, and back-of-house staff
• Collect payments and update customer accounts
• Review vaccine records and customer notes
• Keep the lobby/front desk clean and organized
• Help resolve customer concerns in a calm, professional way
• Make sure every customer feels welcomed, informed, and taken care of
  

Requirements

• Must love dogs and be comfortable around all breeds/sizes
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Some sales experience or ability to confidently close customers
• Strong follow-up skills
• Reliable, punctual, and organized
• Comfortable using computers, phones, and scheduling systems
• Able to multitask with a high level of focus
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, busy, and sometimes chaotic environment
• Professional communication and positive attitude
• Previous receptionist, customer service, sales, pet care, or grooming salon experience is a plus

Availability needed:

• Tuesday–Friday: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM and/or 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM
• Saturdays: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM
• Some flexibility may be required
  

Pay

$22.00 per hour

We evaluate performance and offer opportunities for raises every 6 months based on reliability, performance, customer service, sales ability, and overall contribution to the team.
