Meyer Distributing is looking for a Warehouse Inventory Specialist to join our Hugo, MN team.
Meyer Distributing is a complete wholesale distributor: automotive, RV/towing, outdoor living, marine, and more. With 85+ locations across the country, Meyer services dealers nationwide. EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION: High School graduate or equivalent preferred.
TRAINING: A minimum of one month of on-the-job training is required.
EXPERIENCE: Previous warehouse experience and ability to operate a forklift or man lift preferred.
JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:
- Good computer skills and knowledge of WMS software
- Positive attitude and have ability to be self-motivated
- Ability to give special attention to detail
- Ability to identify letters and numbers
- Demonstrate leadership skills and abilities
- Planning/organizing and follow up skills
- Quality control- the individual demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness and monitors own work to ensure quality
- Adaptability- the individual adapts to changes in the work environment, manages competing demands, and can deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events
- Dependability- the individual is consistently at work and on time, follows instructions, responds to management direction and solicits feedback to improve performance
- Communication - Must have excellent oral and written communication skills up and down organizational structure

Starting Pay:
- $21.00 per hour
Schedule:
- Monday- Friday: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
Inventory Control Duties Include:
- Locating inventory that is on the warehouse site, but not located in the correct location
- Handle all details associated with inventory transfers
- Perform cycle counts
- Handle details associated with stock adjustments and returns
- Communicate with Meyer warehouse lead and logistics to determine the most efficient way to deliver/return items to the vendor
- Receive and approve vendor credit invoices
- Research discrepancies
- Handle research of receiving and invoice issues
