Job Summary:

Delmar Nursing & Rehabilitation is seeking a dedicated and meticulous Housekeeping Aide to join our team. As a Housekeeping Aide, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and comfort of our residents' rooms and common areas. Responsibilities:

• Cleaning and disinfecting of resident rooms and bathrooms, including sinks, mirrors, shelves, walls, doors, and floors

• Cleaning and disinfecting of ancillary areas and common areas, including therapy areas, halls, offices, and public restrooms

• Assisting with resident room changes and completing terminal room cleaning as appropriate

• Completing an eight-step cleaning procedure and ensuring that all areas are clean and sanitized

• Maintaining knowledge of housekeeping equipment and operating carpet/upholstering equipment, auto scrubbing and burnishing equipment

• Completing cleaning schedules daily and ensuring that necessary documentation is completed

• Maintaining a safe and hazard-free environment by following proper procedures for infection control and using personal protective equipment as necessary

• Providing excellent customer service and promoting a customer satisfaction focus

Requirements:

• 0 years of experience required

• High school diploma or equivalent required

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changes in assignments

• Ability to lift, bend, and move equipment and supplies as needed

• Ability to work varying shifts, including days, evenings, and weekends

Work Environment:

• Work environment is a senior care facility with a fast-paced and dynamic atmosphere

• Must be able to work in a confined space and navigate through areas with limited mobility

• Must be able to work in an environment with frequent interruptions and changing priorities
