About This Role

CCCC is currently recruiting talented and motivated individuals to join our team as Eligibility Specialists. As an Eligibility Specialist, you will provide technical assistance to applicants enrolled in childcare assistance programs (CCAP), review eligibility in accordance with NJ DFD regulations, and ensure that all CCAP agreements are for eligible providers and periods.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain records and files proving eligibility for childcare assistance payment for applicants.
• Review  Applications and other documents submitted by applicants and verify information for compliance with NJ DFD Instructions as outlined in policy.
• Review paystubs, tax returns and Schedule C financial documents to determine eligibility.
• Process requests for Change in Providers
• Process requests for initial and annual Child Abuse Record Investigations and Home Inspections
• Educate parent of other childcare options (RFCC, child care centers, etc.)
• Maintain spreadsheets of applicants whose periods of subsidy are ending each month or whose agreements can be extended if proof of license extension is received.

• Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Teams, Outlook, and SharePoint, as well as excellent customer service skills and the ability to calculate numbers accurately.
• Good attention to detail is essential.
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must know how to scan documents.
• Must have good math skills and be able to calculate income.
• Good at handling multiple tasks and responsibilities simultaneously.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office preferred but not required.
