Overview College Financial Representatives in the internship program at Northwestern Mutual receive guidance and resources to build a financial planning practice. The program builds confidence, expands professional network, and helps clients achieve financial freedom. Responsibilities Prospect and network to build a client base. Develop and execute a business strategy. Conduct client meetings to understand financial goals. Prepare financial plans and offer recommendations. Gain exposure to proprietary planning software. Participate in weekly coaching, training, and development meetings. Obtain risk product state licensing (Life, Accident, Health). Build life skills that create future career opportunities. Qualifications Full‑time student, preferably junior or senior. Entrepreneurial spirit and sales curiosity. Active campus involvement (leadership, athletics, student organizations, government). Strong time‑management skills. Interest in financial literacy and planning tools. Business savvy and critical thinking ability. Compensation & Benefits Performance‑based earnings and revenue.
