Radiology - CT Tech Profession: Tech Specialty: Dual Modality CT/Radiology Duration: 14 weeks Shift: Night Shift: Friday to Sunday Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Two years of CT scanning and General Radiology, with experience in both required License: IN license (can obtain after offer) Certifications: ARRT (CT and R), BLS Must-Have: CT Scanning General Radiology Patient Positioning Diagnostic Imaging Clienttion Safety Description:The Dual Modality CT/Rad Tech is responsible for producing high-quality diagnostic images using advanced imaging and computer equipment in accordance with professional standards.This role requires in-depth knowledge of anatomy, physiology, imaging techniques, and radiation safety.The technologist prepares and educates patients, ensuring appropriate care, and maintains strict adherence to infection control and quality protocols.Additionally, they may oversee and mentor students during clinical training.The responsibilities include verifying exam orders and assessing appropriateness using patient data and developmental considerations.They prepare and position patients for imaging procedures, ensuring optimal image quality.They operate imaging, computer, and related equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images.They collaborate with physicians to evaluate images and determine the need for additional imaging.Applying radiation safety techniques and devices to minimize exposure to patients and staff is essential.They demonstrate knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, imaging techniques, and image quality standards.Educating patients about procedures and responding to questions or concerns in an age-appropriate manner is a key part of the role.They ensure communication, safety, and care are tailored to the patient's developmental stage.Maintaining infection control and quality control standards in all imaging procedures is required.They supervise and train students during clinical rotations to ensure safe and effective patient care. #J-18808-Ljbffr Cynet HealthStaff
