Worship Leader - Full-Time First Baptist Church of Stanleyville Are you gifted in music and worship leadership with a heart to guide people into Christ-centered, multi-generational worship? First Baptist Church of Stanleyville is seeking a Worship Leader to help lead a dynamic, Spirit-led worship ministry that blends tradition and contemporary expression in a seamless, God-glorifying way. We desire a worship leader who shepherds people into the presence of God. Worship is both vertical (to God) and formational (for the church), preparing hearts for the preaching of the Word. We are a church family that spans multiple generations desiring a leader who can bridge the generational gap through worship while also cultivating excellence, unity, and spiritual depth. We currently have two weekly worship services (Sunday 10:00 AM and Sunday 6:30 PM) seeking to build a strong, intentional commitment to excellence in our worship through music. Our vision is BIG Worship—Breathtaking, Inspiring, and God-Glorifying through strategic preparation, strong rehearsal rhythms, and Spirit-led execution. We also desire to engage and develop younger musicians and vocalists, especially within our choir and worship team. The ideal leader must be able to recruit, disciple, and integrate younger and older generations into a thriving, unified worship ministry. Responsibilities Lead weekly worship that prepares hearts for God’s Word Develop a unified, multi-generational worship culture Lead choir, vocalists, and instrumentalists with spiritual and musical excellence Plan services in collaboration with pastoral leadership Build blended worship sets (hymns + contemporary worship) Establish intentional, structured rehearsal practices Use technology for planning, communication, and team organization Recruit and develop musicians across generations, with focus on equipping younger leaders Qualifications Calling to worship ministry and strong relationship with Christ Worship leadership experience (multi-generational preferred) Strong vocal or instrumental ability Ability to lead choir and worship teams effectively Strong communication and organizational skills Excels in blended worship styles Creative, strategic, and spiritually grounded leadership Position Details Full-time preferred; bi-vocational / part-time candidates will be strongly considered Start: ASAP Reports to: Senior Pastor / Church Leadership #J-18808-Ljbffr SBC Executive Committee
