Plan maintenance/capital budgets through the identification of plant opportunities. Ensure project standards and guidelines are applied and adhered to as established. Focus on productivity improvements to attain cost optimization. Ensure regulatory compliance is maintained and documented. Develop and implement improved maintenance processes aimed at optimizing the overall productivity of the plant. Establish Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) to measure implementation and progress of goals. Drive a culture of change from reactive to proactive in the approach to asset management and reliability. Support Environmental, Health, and Safety (EH&S) initiatives and awareness programs.Responsibilities & ExpectationsReliability and availability of plant assets and equipmentDirects and prioritizes needed repairsRegularly advises production/plant management of needed equipment status and repairLeads the identification of and resolution of equipment failuresAllocates resources appropriately in the face of competing demandsEffectively manage the selection and utilization of contractorsChampion maintenance department communicationsCommunicate effectively with all maintenance employeesClearly establish and communicate the vision for the departmentCreates a culture of trust and open communicationLeadership and Development of Maintenance Staff (Electricians and Mechanics)Provide hands-on structure, direction, and feedback to the maintenance teamReadily share information and develop the maintenance team by delegating to their strengthsSet clear guidelines and expectations for the maintenance teamBe a positive leader that encourages cross-functional communication.Drive culture change from reactive to proactive in the approach to asset management and reliability.Provide clear and honest feedback to direct reports and those managed through projectsEstablish and communicate clear roles and job performance expectationsDirect Maintenance, electrical, and engineering to meet short-and long-range objectives with optimum efficiency.Plan maintenance/capital budgets through the identification of plant opportunities.Ensure annual outages are planned, scheduled, executed, and closed.Meet reliability, efficiencies, and cost objectives as planned and budgeted.Ensure project standards and guidelines are applied and adhered to as established.Focus on productivity improvements to attain cost optimization.Ensure regulatory compliance is maintained and documented.Implement spares management best practices.Develop and implement improved maintenance processes aimed at optimizing the overall productivity of the plantEnvironmental, Health and SafetyLead by example and demonstrate EH&S leadershipEnsures compliance of the maintenance team with all EH&S standards, programs and requirementsMonitors workplace to ensure a safe and healthy environmentDemonstrate environmental and safety regulatory leadership. Previous SAP knowledge is a plus.Physical Demands Include, But Are Not Limited To:Must be physically able to perform work assigned.Must be physically capable of accessing all plant locations.Tolerate working outside in severe weather conditions as well as exposure to industrial high temperature, noise and dust.Access all areas within a site which could include heights of 120 feet, confined spaces, climbing ladders or stairs, and accessing tunnels.Will be working in an office environment, mining, and mineral processing environment.The employee will be exposed to the following working conditions: Extreme Heat and Cold, Noise, Vibration, Oils, and Atmospheric Conditions such as Dust, Fumes, and Metallic Particles.The employee will be required to perform the following actions (from time to time): Standing, walking, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, talking, seeing, hearing and sitting.Able to lift up to 50 pounds.Required Education:High School Diploma or GED. Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance Engineering, or a technical-related field or demonstrated skills and ability and/or equivalent work experience in the field is desired.Preferred Education:1 - 3 BS Degree in Engineering or a relevant / related field; with strong electrical, PLC control, and Mechanical Maintenance background. Master's degree is a plus.Required Experience:Must have 1-3 Must have at least five to seven years of previous proven hands-on maintenance leadership experience in a fast-paced heavy manufacturing, construction, and/or mining environment. Previous electrical or mechanical experience is required.
