Grants Management Specialist (Multiple Levels)

Job Family:Operational Effectiveness (ESA)Travel Required:NoneClearance Required:Ability to Obtain Public TrustWhat You Will Do:As a Grants Management Specialist supporting Guidehouse’s federal health clients, you will contribute to the administration and oversight of grant and cooperative agreement programs across the full award lifecycle. You will work with federal clients, program and grants officials, funding recipients, technical experts, and multidisciplinary teams to support funding opportunities, awards, recipient performance, compliance, reporting, and closeout activities. Depending on the engagement and your level of experience, you may support or lead activities related to pre-award planning, application and budget review, award administration, recipient engagement, program monitoring, technical assistance, financial oversight, reporting, and closeout. You will help clients maintain organized, compliant, and effective grant programs while supporting recipients in meeting program requirements and achieving intended outcomes.Specific Responsibilities Will Include:Support federal grant and cooperative agreement activities throughout the pre-award, award, post-award, monitoring, and closeout phases.Assist with the development, review, and coordination of Notices of Funding Opportunity, funding packages, award documentation, amendments, and related materials.Review applications, budgets, work plans, progress reports, and other recipient submissions for completeness, consistency, and alignment with program requirements.Coordinate merit, objective, field, or panel review activities, including reviewer materials, schedules, documentation, and follow-up.Support the administration of awards, including recipient correspondence, award actions, continuation activities, change requests, and documentation.Track grant milestones, deliverables, funding, performance measures, risks, decisions, and corrective actions.Monitor recipient progress and support reviews of programmatic and financial performance.Provide technical assistance to funding recipients on program requirements, reporting expectations, award conditions, and administrative processes.Plan and facilitate recipient calls, webinars, meetings, office hours, and other grants-related activities.Coordinate with program officials, grants officials, financial staff, technical experts, and other stakeholders to support timely and accurate award administration.Maintain organized grant files, trackers, templates, standard operating procedures, guidance, and other program-management resources.Support compliance with applicable federal grants requirements, award terms and conditions, agency policies, and internal controls.Analyze grant and recipient information to identify trends, risks, performance issues, and opportunities for program improvement.Prepare reports, briefings, presentations, correspondence, meeting summaries, and other client deliverables.Support audit, monitoring, corrective-action, and award-closeout activities, as applicable.Review work products and supporting documentation for accuracy, completeness, consistency, and alignment with client requirements.Communicate progress, issues, risks, and recommended actions to clients, project leadership, and team members.Contribute to a collaborative team environment and consistently demonstrate Guidehouse’s standards for quality, accountability, responsiveness, and client service.Perform additional grants program, recipient-support, financial assistance, analytical, or operational responsibilities based on the needs of the assigned engagement.What You Will Need:Must be able to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DoD "PUBLIC TRUST"Bachelor’s degree in public administration, public policy, business administration, finance, accounting, public health, health administration, social sciences, or a related field.ONE (1) or more years of experience supporting federal grant or cooperative agreement programs, preferably within a federal health or public health environment.What Would Be Nice to Have:Master’s degree in public administration, public policy, business administration, finance, accounting, public health, health administration, or a related field.Professional, academic, fellowship, internship, or practicum experience supporting grants, cooperative agreements, financial assistance, public programs, program operations, finance, compliance, or related activities.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Strong analytical, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills.Ability to manage multiple activities and produce accurate, timely, and well-organized work.Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.Ability to obtain and maintain the level of federal suitability or clearance required for the assigned engagement.Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.Knowledge of the federal financial-assistance lifecycle and applicable requirement.Experience supporting funding recipients, reviewing programmatic or financial submissions, or monitoring grant performance and compliance.Familiarity with federal grants systems such as GrantSolutions or Grants.gov.Experience developing grants-related reports, guidance, training materials, or operational
