Salary: $177,000 - 239,400 per year Requirements:

• Define and own multi-year strategies and roadmaps for infrastructure efficiency and region flexibility programs across AWS regions, engineering teams, and services
• Partner with senior engineering leaders and sponsors to deliver cross-functional programs involving architectural changes across Amazons software stack
• Create and refine scalable execution mechanisms, including intake processes, campaign frameworks, escalation paths, and automation triggers
• Promote agentic AI to automate fleet optimization, including code-level performance improvements and capacity recommendations
• Communicate program status, risks, and strategic trade-offs to senior leaders and stakeholders through executive documents and reviews
• Guide engineering teams on architecture, design, and priorities while balancing cost efficiency, service resilience, and customer latency
• Build relationships across Amazon and AWS, draw on existing infrastructure capabilities, and influence organizational roadmaps without direct authority
• Assess risks and manage escalations and trade-offs among business needs, technical constraints, and timelines
• Use fleet intelligence platforms and AI-powered optimization agents to find savings opportunities, prioritize initiatives, and measure results
• Mentor technical program managers and support high standards across the organization
• Work directly with technical details, data, and systems; prototype solutions and personally drive execution

We are hiring a Principal Technical Program Manager for Amazons Region Flexibility and Efficiency organization, which optimizes and strengthens our global infrastructure. Our work includes multi-region capacity strategy, infrastructure efficiency, fleet intelligence, and AI-enabled performance optimization supporting Amazon businesses such as Stores, Prime Video, Alexa, and Kindle, in close partnership with AWS. This is a small, high-impact team whose members work across organizational boundaries and contribute to senior-level decisions. The role is based in Seattle, Washington. The annual base salary range is $177,000–$239,400 USD, with sign-on payments and restricted stock units; final compensation depends on experience, qualifications, and location.
