Job Summary:

Exciting new opportunity to start and to join an innovative, community-based behavioral health and intellectual/developmental disabilities services organization located in South Georgia.  Georgia Pines Community Service Board is a public, not-for-profit organization with an annual budget of $25M and a diverse workforce of 300 direct-care and support staff.  We provide services to 6 rural counties with several locations. Georgia Pines Mental Health Wecovery is currently seeking someone who has the passion, commitment, talent, and ability to work collaboratively with their peers to continue to advance the mission and vision of the organization. 

The selected applicant will have the pleasure of providing a broad range of paraprofessional social services to patients/clients/consumers and their families. In addition, with conducting  patient/client/consumer intakes, participates in treatment team planning, and performs crisis intervention. Additionally, the applicant may assist in dealing with personal and social problems. Select applicant may provide supportive counseling to consumers and families and/or serve as a liaison for social services and perform case management duties.

Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED and two years' experience in a social service-related position Or Bachelor's degree in a social service-related field Or One year at the lower level or position equivalent.  

Position requires a valid driver's license and must be a Certified Peer Specialist (Applicant must have a mental health diagnosis with a minimum of one year of recovery and have a certificate (CPS) OR become CPS Certified within 6 months).
