Northern Arizona Periodontics is seeking an experienced, clinically strong Registered Dental Hygienist who wants to become a long-term part of a growing periodontal practice and help build an exceptional hygiene department.

This is not a traditional hygiene position.

Our greatest need is in Cottonwood , and Cottonwood is a required part of this role. Depending on the candidate, the schedule may include:

• 3–4 clinical days per week in Cottonwood, or 
• 2 clinical days in Cottonwood plus 1–2 days in Flagstaff 

We are looking for someone who brings clinical maturity, curiosity, confidence, humility, stability, and leadership ability .

Our hygienists are expected to be strong clinicians, educators, communicators, and leaders within the practice. You should be comfortable teaching and mentoring others, communicating directly and professionally, maintaining high standards, and working with team members at different levels of experience.

What Hygiene Looks Like Here
Our hygiene schedule is exam-heavy and focused on periodontal and implant care. We do not routinely perform SRP, as initial periodontal therapy is generally completed through the referring general dentist.

Our RDHs are heavily involved in:

• Periodontal evaluation and maintenance 
• Implant maintenance 
• Periodontal charting and digital imaging 
• Identifying clinical changes and disease progression 
• Patient education and home-care coaching 
• Detailed clinical documentation 
• Collaboration with our periodontists 
• Communication with referring dental offices 
• Chart review and clinical calibration 

Clinical Development Is Part of the Role

We believe learning never ends.

In addition to clinical days, this position includes approximately 2–3 additional days per month for chart review, calibration, education, and hygiene department development.

Qualifications

• Current Arizona RDH license 
• Local anesthesia certification 
• Current CPR certification 
• Strong periodontal assessment and documentation skills 
• Strong communication and patient-education skills 
• Willingness to participate in ongoing calibration and professional development 

Location & Schedule

Applicants must be willing to work:
At least 2 clinical days per week in Cottonwood
At least 3 clinical days per week overall

Additional days may be available in Cottonwood and/or Flagstaff depending on practice needs.

Clinical hours generally run Monday through Thursday.
