Plant Engineering Manager

We’re seeking a Plant Engineering Manager to play a key leadership role in launching a new, state-of-the-art manufacturing facility focused on thermal plastic roofing membranes. This is a high-impact opportunity to help build a plant from the ground up, lead engineering and maintenance operations, and drive long-term performance and reliability in a growing environment. Lead engineering and maintenance functions for a new thermal plastic roofing membrane manufacturing facility Support plant setup, startup, and commissioning for a greenfield site opening in 2027 Supervise and develop a team of 3–4 direct reports across maintenance and engineering disciplines (prior supervisory experience required) Bring 10+ years of plant engineering and maintenance experience within roofing, plastics, or continuous process manufacturing Drive equipment reliability, process optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives Implement Lean methodologies (5S, Kaizen, SMED) to improve uptime, efficiency, and throughput Oversee capital projects and ensure successful execution aligned with production and growth goals Collaborate cross-functionally to support a facility scaling to ~80–90 employees across two shifts Ensure safe, compliant, and efficient operation of all production and utility systems Utilize ERP systems (SAP preferred) to support maintenance planning and operational efficiency Ascendo is an equal opportunity employer.
