Therapist - Physical Therapy Assistant

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provide outpatient physical therapy services to a diverse patient population, focusing on orthopedic, geriatric, balance, and deconditioning cases. Collaborate with the clinical team to develop and implement treatment plans aimed at improving patient mobility and function.

Responsibilities:

• Assist licensed physical therapists in delivering patient-centered care according to prescribed treatment plans.
• Conduct therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and other modalities to promote recovery.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatments under supervision.
• Document patient encounters accurately and maintain detailed treatment records.
• Educate patients and families on therapeutic activities and home exercise programs.
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols and clinical guidelines during all patient interactions.

Qualifications:

• Valid and active Physical Therapy Assistant credential.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in outpatient orthopedics or similar settings.
• Proficient in therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and modality application.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for patient education.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• BLS certification required.
