Retail Shift Leader

Position Overview Retail Shift Leader (Key Holder) – EZPAWN, Chicago, IL. Pay range: $18.00–$20.00 per hour, with potential to increase through bonus and progression within the organization. Key Responsibilities Deliver outstanding customer service and build relationships with customers. Process pawn loans, extensions, and agreements, ensuring compliance with company and legal requirements. Perform opening and closing store procedures. Supervise, coach, and support store team members, fostering a friendly, courteous, and respectful environment. Promote sales of pawn items and assist customers in making beneficial deals. Maintain knowledge of commonly pawned items such as tools, jewelry, firearms, and electronics. Participate in structured leadership training and pursue advancement opportunities (Assistant Manager or Lead Pawnbroker). Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED. Minimum 1 year of supervisory or key holder experience. Valid driver’s license and auto insurance. Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug test. Strong organizational, time‑management, and prioritization skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Effective negotiation talent and the ability to read customer needs. Preferred Qualifications Sales experience. Bilingual ability. Knowledge of pawn industry items.
