divh2Electronic Technician Maintenance/h2pReporting to the Program Manager, the Electronic Technician Maintenance supports the Submarine Fleet Technical Support Division in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. This team is responsible for maintenance and deployment of support equipment associated with submarine operations and load-out. This includes maintenance, inventory control, transportation, and handling services for inert submarine weapons and vertical launch system support equipment, submarine acoustic countermeasure handling equipment, external countermeasures launchers, and weapons cradles. Although this position is based in Pearl Harbor, you may be required to provide flyaway support to locations throughout the Pacific Rim including San Diego, Bangor, Bremerton, and Guam./ph2What Youll Do/h2ulliMaintain, repair, troubleshoot, modify, and install various types of Navy equipment and related devices./liliPerform preventative maintenance and preservation activities, including sanding, needle gunning, rust removal, surface preparation, painting, and general corrosion control in support of equipment and facility upkeep./liliUnderstand and comply with guidance in manufacturers manuals, Navy instructions, technical drawings, and other related documentation./liliParticipate in the movement of heavy equipment via truck, crane, and forklift in a high-tempo industrial environment./liliSupport general shop and waterfront maintenance activities as required to maintain operational readiness and safety standards./liliBid and proposal support if requested./liliOther duties as assigned./li/ulh2What Were Looking For/h2pstrongRequired Qualifications:/strong/pulliThe ability to obtain and maintain an active secret clearance is required to be considered for this position./liliAt least one (1) year of experience performing preventative maintenance and preservation activities in an industrial, maritime, or shipboard environment, including sanding, needle gunning, rust and corrosion removal, surface preparation, and painting./liliMust demonstrate the ability to execute problem-solving associated with maintaining, transporting, loading, and setting up complex machinery in a dynamic environment./liliMust demonstrate the ability to work effectively, efficiently, and safely in an industrial environment./liliMust possess a basic mechanical aptitude./liliMust possess basic computer literacy and data entry skills./liliDemonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (to include MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)./liliStrong attention to detail and organizational skills./liliExcellent verbal and written communication skills./liliDemonstrated problem-solving skills./liliMust possess strong time management skills./liliMust be able to work in a fast-paced, changing, and challenging environment./li/ulpstrongDesired Qualifications:/strong/pulliExperience in warehouse operations./liliLicensed forklift operator./liliPossession of a valid Commercial Drivers License (CDL)./liliExperience conducting preventative maintenance on heavy equipment./li/ulpstrongPhysical Requirements:/strong/pulliMust be able to remain seated in a stationary position 50% of the time. Must also be able to alternate between sitting, standing, and walking./liliThe ability to lift items that may weigh up to 50 pounds./liliThe work requires some physical exertion, such as long periods of standing, or recurring and considerable walking, stooping, bending, crouching, and climbing such as performing regular shop activities, inspections, or to observe and study operations in an industrial or comparable work area, or on-board ships, submarines, and/or in weapon facilities./liliThe ability to operate heavy machinery and industrial tools with limited to no supervision. Examples may include but are not limited to: Electric/Diesel Forklift, CNC Milling Machine, Welding/Soldering, CAT III Overhead Crane, pallet jack, Big Joe stand-behind pallet lift mechanism, and more./li/ulpINDUS aims to provide a competitive compensation package, including a strong pay for performance rewards approach. The expected base pay range for this position is $35.13 per hour $36.29 per hour.
