Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cath Lab position at a Magnet-designated acute care hospital in California, requiring prior Cath Lab experience and significant on-call availability.

Details

• Cath Lab unit within a 377-bed Magnet-designated acute care hospital
• Day shift schedule: 4x10-hour shifts, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
• On-call required approximately 5–6 shifts every two weeks, including every other weekend (Friday 5:30 PM through Monday 7:00 AM) and one weekday shift per cycle
• 30-minute on-site response time required for on-call shifts
• No floating between like units within this assignment
• Charting via Epic (experience required)
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required; pending licenses are not accepted
• Current certifications required: BLS and ACLS
• Minimum 1 year of Cath Lab experience required
• Epic EMR proficiency required
• Supervisory references covering at least 1 year of employment within a comparable specialty/setting in the last 3 years (minimum 2 references)
• SSN and DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are not eligible for this position
• All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed at the time of submission; post-submission RTO requests may be denied
• Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must not reside within 50 miles of the facility
• All travelers may be expected to float between facilities within the state; refusal to float may result in assignment termination
• Scrubs may be any color
• Block scheduling is available at manager discretion
