Overhead Crane Technician

Main Purpose:The Overhead Crane Technician is responsible for the inspection, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of overhead industrial lifting systems. Physical Requirements:Standing, sitting, walking, stooping, kneeling, climbing, feeling, talking, hearing and seeingTurning, twisting, bending and balancingPushing, pulling and reachingMust be able to lift and / or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally 50-75 poundsJob Requirements:2+ years experience with overhead cranes mechanics and diagnosticsMust be able to pass a background checkDesirable Experience, Education and Training:High School Diploma or equivalentTools, Equipment and Technology:Voltage meters, pilers, screw drivers and all other tools used in the maintenance of Overhead Cranes.Environmental Conditions:80 to 90% of the work activities are performed outdoors in a shop. Individuals will be required to work in changes of temperature, hot, cold, humid, wet, and dry conditions, dust, mud, etc.Gulf Island will not sponsor applications for work visas.
