Brief Description Position: Corporate Accountant FLSA Status: Full-time Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in accounting required. Bachelor's Degree in accounting required. Position Summary The Corporate Accountant is charged with assisting departmental leadership with financial related duties as approved by the Chief Financial Officer. The Corporate Accountant will perform daily maintenance of the general ledger and reconcile general ledger accounts monthly. The Corporate Accountant will assist the Controller in the monthly closeout process and preparation of financial statements. Special projects may be assigned by the Controller, including preparation of reports to external agencies and ARcare leadership. Essential Functions Prepare, examine, or analyze accounting records, financial statements, or other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards. Analyze business operations, trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations, to project future revenues and expenses or to provide advice. Assign entries to proper accounts. Prepare periodic reports that compare budgeted costs to actual costs. Develop, implement, modify, and document recordkeeping and accounting systems, making use of current computer technology. Prepare forms and manuals for accounting and bookkeeping personnel. Survey operations to ascertain accounting needs and to recommend, develop, or maintain solutions to business and financial problems. Participate in Finance Department meetings. Participate in organizational Quality Improvement activities.
